. The plots dedicated to this Heritage appellation are planted on schistose mica plateaus which extend to the Argens on the Maïme side, and, on the Saint-Jean side, on a sandstone and sand soil. These soils, poor on the surface and stony, allow the roots of the vines to get their nutrients deep down.

. A rigorous disbudding of unnecessary shoots is carried out in the spring
